Marist Christmas Festivities
Along with our TY Christmas Market, students also continued their teaching and learning with Christmas Festivities thrown in. Junior Science students learned all about LED lights and created their own LED Christmas cards. In Mr. Kearney’s Woodturning Club, students designed snowmen and crafted them in their after-school club. While Transition Year students taking part in an ISL Irish Sign Language module, learned how to sign Christmas greetings. Transition Years also made their annual trip to Dublin to go ice-skating as an end of year group activity. The annual ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ was held on Friday. Organised by LCVP students, each year a different charity is selected to raise money towards. The chosen charity this year was Youth Work Ireland with staff and students making a great contribution towards that charity and donning their festive jumpers.
