1st Year Basketball Progress to All-Ireland Semi-Final

Congratulations to our 1st Year Basketball team, overcoming three top ranked teams to win the All-Ireland play-offs. Marist College, chosen to host the event on Monday the 8th of April, welcomed CCI Abbeyfeale, Limerick, Larkin College, Dublin and Carrigaline CS, Cork for the competition. With teams eager to progress to the next round and only one space available, all teams were on top form with high scoring, fast paced games. We worked hard, with accurate shooting and teamwork, to win all our games, guaranteeing top spot and a place in the Semi-Final.

An outstanding achievement for our team who have worked hard all year under the guidance of Ms. Gregg, Ms. Nolan and Mr. Gregg. Thanks to all the students, teachers and parents for their support in helping us host this tournament.

The next stop is the National Basketball Arena for the All-Ireland Semi-Final on the 3rd of May, with the aim of progressing to the final which takes place on the same day. The very best of luck lads!
