Robbie and The Gooch visit the Marist

There’s a suggestion that you should never meet your heroes, you’ll only be disappointed. Nothing was further from the truth as the Marist was blessed with the visit of two humble sporting superstars- Robbie Henshaw and Colm ‘the Gooch’ Cooper. Robbie, who was just home after his excellent performances (The Irish Times identified him as Ireland’s Top Performer) in the Rugby World Cup dropped in to assist Mr. Loftus in training the Senior Cup team. The Gooch was on business with AIB setting up student accounts, but he enjoyed imparting his footballing words of wisdom in a training session with enthusiastic First Year Gaelic footballers. We’re sure there was nothing Mr. Byrne hadn’t already dealt with extensively!
