Senior Gaelic – Off To Good Start

Marist College 0-14 Colaiste Eoin- Dublin-1-09.

Well done to the Senior Gaelic panel on their first league win of the year. Played in very difficult conditions, both teams played some good football at times. The game was level at half time 5 points each, Marist scores coming from Kieran Colclough (4 frees) and Ciaran Sugrue. Marist were forced to play the full second half with 14 men, but battled hard to negate the man advantage for Colaiste Eoin.

Scores in the second half came from Colclough (3), Paddy McGettigan, Fred Kelleher, Eoghan Derwin, Matthew Nally, Sugrue, and Eoin Mulvihill.

Best for the Marist on the day were Cian McBrearty, Pearse Frost, Paddy McGettigan and Eoin Mulvihill. Thanks to Athlone GAA for the use of their pitch.

This was a good start to the year and follows very good commitment to training.
