U-16 Basketball team win League Final

On Wednesday last our U-16 basketball team travelled to Portlaoise to take on St Paul’s Monastervin in the league final. They emerged victorious (37-31) after a tight encounter. This is a great achievement for Ms Nolan and the whole squad, who have worked very hard all year.

This was a superb team performance, which saw Marist fight back in the 2nd quarter to level the game on the half-time buzzer. Excellent work from Brian O’Hara Duggan and Sean Claffey helped Marist establish a lead as the game entered the final quarter. This was an excellent result against a strong Monastervin team.
