Basketball

The focus has now turned to the 1st and 2nd year basketball teams, with both of them enjoying recent success. On Friday last our First Year team had a thrilling one point victory over Scoil Dara Kilcock, having been 10 points down the boys rallied to emerge victorious on a 22-21 scoreline. On Monday last it was another trip up to Kildare with Confey College from Leixlip providing the opposition. Despite a good showing it was the hosts who emerged with the points after a 10 point victory. This was their first defeat of the season so they willo be looking to bounce back.

Our 2nd Year team played against the same opposition and also won one and lost one, with the win coming against Confey College on a 39-20 scoreline. This was a convincing performance after a great squad display. Special mention to Shane Lawless who was the game’s top scorer.
