Marist Leaders

Marist Leaders is a leadership programme for senior students of Marist College Athlone, Moyle Park and Marian College in Dublin. As part of their leadership development programme, they recently visited The Outward Bound Trust at Loch Eli, near Fort William in Scotland. The overall purpose of the weekend was to develop leadership and community through a shared experience of activities. The centre delivers an experiential wilderness programme, which was tailored to develop self-confidence leadership skills with a particular emphasis on our Marist Values. On the trip the boys enjoyed canoeing, raft-building, rock-climbing, abseiling and many other climbing activities. They experienced night-time orienteering, and a communal campfire experience and a sing-song. Throughout the weekend, the boys looked at their own experience of being in a Marist school and what the Marist Values mean to them. The Leaders will continue to reflect on our Marist Values and achievements so far. Student leaders Edward Clarke, Eoin McCarthy, Eoghan McCabe, Josh Earley, Eamon Martin and Paul Garvey were accompanied by Ms. McGrath, Project Coordinator and Mr. Colgan, Principal.
