Marist Week

This week saw Marist week take place in the College. Marist week runs simultaneously in all three Marist secondary schools in Ireland; Moyle Park and Marian College are both located in Dublin. It’s a week where students get to engage with the history of the Marist order and also there are many activities based around the Marist ethos and spirit. Central to Marist week is the holding of our annual Champagnat Mass, this celebrates the life of Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist order.

We were fortunate to have a visit from Ryan Gatos who is head of Marist Education in Australia, Ryan spoke with all year groups on the school and he had them captivated from the off! His many thought provoking activities certainly stimulated much debate amongst our students. He gave great insights into the work of Marist schools in Australia and reminded the students that were part of an international Marist Family.
