Senior Marist 54 St Muiredachs Ballina 14 Our Seniors had an impressive outing on Wednesday last in the first round of the league. Marist were missing a number of players from their squad due to interprovincial commitments but had a squad of 35 players to select from. It is very evident that there will be competition for places and many of the players put a hand up for selection for round two with their performances on Wednesday. Ag Science Class at the Ploughing
A number of 5th and 6th year Ag Science students made the trip over to Tullamore for the National Ploughing Championship. Ms Clear and Miss Boland travelled over with the pupils. A great day was had by everyone who travelled.
Senior Gaelic – Off To Good Start
Marist College 0-14 Colaiste Eoin- Dublin-1-09. Well done to the Senior Gaelic panel on their first league win of the year. Played in very difficult conditions, both teams played some good football at times. The game was level at half time 5 points each, Marist scores coming from Kieran Colclough (4 frees) and Ciaran Sugrue. Marist Students finish inside World Top 20
Marist Athlone students, Padraic McDermott, Ruaidhri Campion and Robert Lowe finished in 19th place in the F1 In Schools World Finals which concluded last week in Kuala Lumpur. The Athlone boys were competing against 55 teams drawn from 51 different countries across the globe. The competition sees students design and make a model F1 car and they must also build a stand, raise money and produce and enterprise and marketing plan. Marist Formula 1 in Kuala Lumpur for World Finals!
World Finals Again for Marist Formula 1: For the second year in a row, a group of students from Marist Athlone are representing Ireland in the Formula1 in Schools World Finals. The team arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday 20th of September. The competition will take place over the next week and the team will be attending the Malaysian Grand Prix as part of the trip. They were also guests of the Irish Ambassador to Malaysia, Mr Eamon Hickey, at a reception in the Irish Embass


Edward achieves 10 ‘A’s in Junior Cert
On a day of outstanding results in Marist College, a special mention to Edward Clarke who achieved an incredible 10 ‘A’s in his Junior Cert. This is a fantastic achievement by Edward and is just reward for his hard work over the years. We offer a big congratulations to all our students who achieved great results across the board.
