

Junior Cup Team Advance to Semi-Final
Well done to our Junior Rugby team on securing top spot in their group of the Top Oil Junior Cup competition. This was secured following a well deserved win over St Joseph’s ‘The Bish’ which took place on Wednesday in Marist College. Marist were quick to put points on the board with a try from captain Diarmuid Carey. This was converted by Ruaidhri Fallon who quickly followed up with a try. U-14 Rugby off to a Winning Start
Our U14 rugby team had their first game of the Connacht schools premier league on Tuesday last against ‘The Bish’ from Galway. The Marist boys got off to a great start with a super team try touched down by Adam Farnan. The Bish regrouped and scored two quick fire tries as they spread the ball wide very effectively. Senior Gaelic Team Advance To Leinster Semi-Final
Congratulations to our Senior Gaelic Team who overcame a stiff challenge from Scoil Aodhain Dublin, to advance to the semi-final of the blue riband event of Leinster Colleges Football. Played in heavy conditions in St Loman;s Mullingar, Marist turned in a super 2nd half display to come away with the victory. Scoil Aodhain were first off the mark but Marist replied through Ciaran Sugrue (2), Kieran Colclough (f), and Shane Allen. A Scoil Aodhain goal followed in a frantic star


Stage Set For Marist & Bower Production of Little Shop Of Horrors
After months of practice and much hard work the students of Our Lady’s Bower and Marist College are set to thread the boards of the Dean Crowe Theatre with their production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’. The show will run for 3 nights, January 13st until February 2nd. Tickets are priced at a very keen €12 for what promises to be a great nights entertainment, they can purchases through the Dean Crowe Theatre or on the night itself.


U-16 Gaelic Team Qualify for Semi-Final
Marist College 5-13 Moate CS 0-9 A storming 2nd half display saw Marist U-16 team qualify for the North Leinster semi-final. Trailing by a point at half time, Marist turned this game on its head with a superb attacking display in the 2nd half. The half time introduction of Eamon Martin and Dylan Gavin had a major impact on the game. Gavin scored three goals in the half and Martin was a driving influence form midfield. Marist 42 Roscommon CBS 0 Congratulations to our Junior Cup rugby team who displayed great determination, strength and no little skill in the Top Oil Junior Cup tournament. Played in tough conditions at Marist school pitch the whole team hit the ground running from the first whistle, giving their opponents no time at all to settle into the game.
