Junior Cup Rugby Team Reach League Final

Marist Junior rugby team made the long trip up to Ballina on Wednesday last and they came away with a fantastic victory in the last round of the league. They faced a strong challenge from the home side, St Muredachs. The team took the lead early in the game with Ben O’Carroll kicking a penalty. Aaron Burke followed this up with an excellent try from out on the wing, this was followed by tries from Kieran Egan and Martin O’Grady in the second half. All the tries were expertly converted by the excellent Ben O’Carroll. This was great team performance with eye-catching displays from Gavin Daly, Martin O’Grady and Ben O’Carroll. The final score on the day was 24-7.Marist will now play Garbally College in the league final.
