Junior Cup Team off to Winning Start in Cup

Congratulations to our Junior Cup rugby team who travelled to Galway to face The Jes (Colaiste Iogniad) in the Top Oil Junior Cup tournament and came away with a 22-12 victory. Ruaidhri Fallon put the first points on the board with a penalty kick in the 10th minute of the game. It was closely followed by a try from Ben O’Carroll which was converted by Fallon. There was no let up from Marist, another try scored by Ruaidhri Fallon and a spectacular conversion from the touchline. The Jes came back into the game with 2 tries, but team captain Diarmuid Carey secured the victory with the final try of the game. The team will be out again after the Christmas break to face CBS Roscommon in the next round of the cup.
